The accomadation/The food menu
Bathroom facilities were v poor.shower unit grimy and looked like it was falling apart.pillows too flat.breakfast was very basic, but staff very cheery
The restaurant was excellent with fantastic food in a relaxed atmosphere.
I did not personally stay but the above reflects the views of my overflow guests who did the room was adequate for purpose - they were out all day - and the breakfast was complimented. The convenient location of the Inn to my house was the most important factor in chosing it
Unnecessary phone call from Inn questioning if booking was valid when they had failed to fully read my note explaining the reason for the booking. While apologetic when I called back to underline the position they should not have made the call, inconveniently when i was away from home.
friendly staff ,with a good choice of food, nice cold beer at the bar and a large beer garden at the rear, clean and modern rooms , i did have a slight problem with the shower but that was soon fixed and had the previous occupant reported the fault this would have been avoided a pleasant and relaxing stay
We had lived in this area for many years and knew of the Pheasant Inn. We have stayed here twice now, since leaving the County and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Excellent food. Clean, comfortable accommodation. Central for local and main town shopping, Cinema, easy access to motorways, bus routes, trains, etc.
Stayed for 2 nights. The room wasn't cleaned or the bed made. Shower head was broken which provided water like a tap. Breakfast was cooked ok but limited in choice. Much better value for money was the nearby Readiong Moat House at £77. No comparison.
It was fine for purpose
The noise in the carpark after 11 when the band packed up to go. Our room was right outside where they were parked. Could have parked them away from the room windows
owners very nice and polite. rooms cater for the cost of your stay .ie two people for £60.00 good location and good value pint of beer £3.20
bath rooms could do with up dating.
Pub looks like a country pub from outside, however, inside is quite bland and lacks a country pub atmosphere. Breakfast was disappointing. Lack of cereal choice..I Got the last box of cornflakes and others arrived down after me to a choice of Alpen or Alpen! Bacon was hard, burnt and much too salty.Egg was swimming in grease. Mushrooms were burnt ,beans overcooked and stuck to the plate. Sausage was ok!!! I would definately not bother with breakfast!!
Easy to find - good car parking available - family room options
We had a fair size room; good parking; convenient for the university. Nice outside seating area (but raining on our visit)
Breakfast if variable, dependant upon who is on duty
Had to use the entry key card (card was for both hotel and room) for electric so when my partner went outside to car or anything i was left in the dark
food was nice room OK
TV very small noise fron cars at front
